Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

The boy wanted the Hut, though I'm a staunch anti-fan, the boy gets what the boy wants. Everyone already knows what Pizza Hut food tastes like, that's a matter of opinion I'm not even going to touch on here. The problem is, this place employs the most incompetent, lazy delivery drivers I've ever seen. It's a total crapshoot as to whether the food will arrive at all, odds on that are decent, I'll say about 80% in favor. On that off 20%, you make a phone call and cancel the order about an hour and a half after placing it. Invariably, the reason is cited as "Unknown gate code". I live off 39th, there's a frigging ice road behind my building. I'm pretty sure this structure stood as gates were being invented by the late 16th century Gateists. In order to preserve its historical integrity, gates were not installed retroactively. It's a door, you open it and walk in. The true reason phantom, coded gates prevent these drivers from delivering is simple; I'm on the third floor. That is far too many stairs to traverse without that sweet grandma ride from Gremlins. That brings me back to the 80%, they will call and ask that you come downstairs to get your food. Only place ever. I get delivery way too much and never, ever has a place asked me to come downstairs to get it. It's always a battle with such tragic spoils. "Hello, Paul?" "Yes." "Your pizza is here." "No it isn't." "-address deleted- right?" "Yes." "It's here. Come and get it." "The door's not locked, you can bring it up." "Well, I'm waiting down here." "Are you ok? It's all clear, you can come in, it's open." "I'm downstairs." "And I am not, that's why I ordered delivery." "I need your signature." "I'll sign anything you bring me." "I need it on this receipt." "I understand that, but there's little I can do when you're down there." etc.etc. Takeout if you must, but must you? Really? That's awfully musty.

Used online ordering and it was there fast like lightning. I'm sure that's probably not the case every time, but it was very surprising to actually have my food delivered 5 minutes before the email confirmation said to expect it.

Terrible!!! Ordered online, took almost 3 hours for them to deliver ice cold pizza.

One star almost seems too high. The fact that this place has not been shut down shows an enormous lack of awareness by the ownership. This is an absolutely unacceptable food establishment. It is filthy. Trash all over the floor when you walk in. Rude employees at the register, and worst off, the man making the pizzas wasn't wearing any gloves. Hands all over every ingredient. I am going to the owners about this, everyone at this store should be fired

I work at ups and called at 9:30pm to order 15 pizzas. I was put on hold for 4 minutes so I hung up and called back. This time I was told to "hold please" but they didn't put me on hold they just put the phone down and talked about how annoying it was that I was trying to place an order. After 7 minutes of listening to workers shoot the sh$t and no one picking up the phone I hung up. Employees here clearly take no pride in what they are doing. I would never order from here.

I'd worry about their delivery service. I ordered a Pizza middle of the day which was supposed to be at my house in a little over 30 minutes. I called the store about 10 minutes after it was supposed to be here and they told me it was on the way. An hour after I was supposed to get my order the delivery driver was still no where to be found. It seems like I'd have a bit more patience had this occurred during their busy hours but it was the middle of the day and after lunch time. I cancelled my order after an hour cause I was sick of waiting and the hunger pains were getting at me. Guess I won't be ordering here anymore. I also didn't want to have some soggy pizza that had been sitting in a car for over an hour, doesn't seem to appetizing. Also, the people on the phone weren't all that great with customer service. Maybe had they tried to do something to remedy the situation it could have gone better.

The worst service. We had to wait around while they tried to fix the cash register while the pizza got cold. They didn't even get the order right. While we were waiting, they could have at least made the right pizzas. They gave me pepperoni so I had to take it home and bake it myself. They also didn't give Parmesan cheese or pepper, like I specially asked. Don't order from here, it's likely to be a nightmare.

I love Pizza Hut but this place has Horrible service. Unprofessional and rude. If you want cold, old pizza and two hour delivery times order from here. I live less than 5 minutes away and after two bad experiences I will never eat here again! Customer service refuses to refund all of my money and are very rude on the phone! I can't express how horrible this place is. Avoid avoid avoid.

  • Stephie G.

The manager up front here, (Friday night around 6:30pm) has horrible attitude, is unprofessional, and is not even helpful. There are 15 people (yes, I said 15, and growing) waiting on their carry-out orders. The employees here are incompetent. Chef Ramsay needs to get over here and whip these people into shape. If I could give negative stars I would. It's a shame this is the only Pizza Hut in the vicinity. God help us all.

Horrible service. I picked up a carryout order that my girlfriend called in as I was on my way home. I got in and took my order home. My girlfriend said I forgot the cinnamon sticks. The employee didn't tell me about it. I thought it was just 2 pizzas. They also burnt one of the pizzas. We called the customer service number to complain. The customer service guy couldn't find our order because the employee mistyped our phone number. Eventually the customer service guy resent the order at no charge. When we got there, there was a huge line of pissed off customers whose orders all got messed up. Then the employee kept saying the computers down so that's why they were slow. It took us about 35-40 minutes before our order was ready. I'm typing this in my car as I wait for my order to be done. Don't ever order here because I will never come back.

Terrible service! Go to a different pizza place! Food is on par with most Pizza Huts but what's that really good for when you have to wait so long. I ordered take-out and arrived about 5 minutes after the time it was supposed to be ready. Once I paid I was told that the pizza was "still in the oven". No biggie. I know these things can take a little longer sometimes. So I waited. And waited. And waited. For an additional 25 minutes! You see, since no other customers came through the door after me (apparently most other customers have read the Yelp reviews on this place already) no employee ever came back to the front desk. I could hear workers arguing in the back about who was supposed to be running the front desk and I guess they never really figured it out. The girl who took my order spent most of the next 20 minutes out in the parking lot talking with another employee. So after 25 minutes of sitting there (which was a full 45 minutes after I ordered) someone noticed me, looked in the pizza warmer and then told me my pizza was ready. It had been ready for some time I think... maybe for about 20 of the 25 minutes I had been sitting there. I tried to find out how long it had been ready and I asked that question three times. The answer I received every time was "I dunno". Horrible. So I don't think the food takes so long but there seems to be a complete lack of procedure about what needs to happen when an order is ready... Is it take-out? Has it been paid for? Is the customer waiting? The feeling I got was that they all could have cared less. If I was a Pizza Hut corporate district manager and this was one of my Pizza Huts I would be extremely ashamed. I normally don't write negative reviews unless I think the public needs to be warned. Only giving it one star because that is the minimum. Otherwise it would be zero!

This is a horrible Pizza Hut. The last three times I have ordered carry-out with them, they never have it ready when I arrive. The last time I went and waited for them to finish my order, they did not notify me while I was sitting in the waiting room that the pizza was done. My wife, who was sitting in the car, thought the pizza was done so she texted me and I had to ask them again for my order.

This place does not even deserve 1 star. Do not order from this Pizza Hut, every review is completely true. My husband and I called in for a delivery at 5:30, they told us that it would be an hour. 7 pm arrives and we still haven't received our order, we call and then delivery lady arrives (who is probably the only friendly person who works there). My husband makes a comment about how the pizza is probably cold, he checks it and it is the complete wrong order, we checked and the delivery lady is still in our driveway. He catches her and tells her it is the wrong order, she apologizes and said she would go get the right one. Perfect. In the mean time we decided to call ahead and let them know (hopefully get a refund). I am not sure about the creatures that work at this pitiful excuse for a Pizza Hut but it is literally the worst service I have ever experienced. The girl who my husband talked to fought with him the whole time he was on the phone (which was 19 minutes). She could not possibly understand what was wrong the with the food being late, cold, or the wrong order. She told him it would be another HOUR IN A HALF until they could get us another one, not even attempting to rectify the mistake they had made, to top off the whole situation they said that we wouldn't be charged for a remake, so after all that we would still have to pay for one pizza. My husband apologized for his frustration, she still fought with him at that point and told him if he wanted his pizza before it could be delivered he would have to pick it up. My husband then went to pick it up, the entire staff was completely rude, there was the female manager (who is pictured in one of the other reviews) who mumbled when he tried to talk with her, did not once attempt at an apology and gave him a refund finally after all the trouble. I am not sure how this location is still in business with all the terrible customer service that they give. Also, the pizza itself wasn't to great either, it was over cooked. So all in all, I will never order from them again. I am not even a Pizza Hut fan, my husband wanted it.

  • Mateo S.

If you think "it can't be THAT bad", then think again. It took forever, had a 2.75 delivery fee, when it finally arrived it was cold and utterly disgusting. Never eat here for any reason.

  • Drew R.

This location has a horrid delivery record. Out of the last five orders I've placed for delivery, four of them have not been delivered at all because they were out of the product I ordered. That's a little frustrating, but what robs salt in the wound is that the one of the times my order was cancelled, I placed a new order but the customer service representative didn't bother to tell me the new price would be a higher amount for less food. The product that does come out of this is sub par compared to other local Pizza Huts as well. The dough is usually under or over done and you could easily spend your hard earned money at a 24 hour grocery store on a frozen pizza. Save yourself the trouble.

The WORST Pizza Hut I have ever experienced. Delivery is never on time. Orders are never ready for pick-up. Customer service in the restaurant is abysmal. I wish I could give this place 0 stars!

This location HAS to be THE WORST Pizza Hut Delivery in Wyandotte County. If there is an American Idol for Most Incompetent and Awful Pizza Hut Delivery, this joint has a good shot at winning. Every time I come here, the pizza is not ready and I had learned to give them an extra 10-15 minutes. The last time, I had to wait 10 minutes because they hadn't put my pizza in the oven yet. This last Friday, the surly woman who has no clue what she is doing but they insist on putting her at the order counter, stumbled around for 3 or 4 minutes, knowing full well, that the pizza hadn't even been started. The joint looked like a funeral home as about 10-12 customers were seated or perched in various spots like mourners at a wake, while behind the counter, the floor looked like the set of Dawn of the Dead with Pizza Hut employees stumbling around dazed and confused, bumping into each other like a flock of zombies. A brief moment of lucidity seemed to flicker into the surly woman's eyes and she snapped briefly out of her zomboid coma to let me know that my pizza had not even been started yet. I said okay, in a peaceful voice and left, vowing never to come within 50 feet of this pathetic excuse for a service oriented business. Service? Forget it. These people have never been taught the meaning of the word. I may eat Pizza Hut in the future? But, it won't be because I chose it. Time to investigate more independent businesses who down to the busboy, appreciate the business they get.

My wife and I stumbled upon this Pizza Hut because the wait at the Melting Pot was to long. We should've waited, because we spent longer waiting for our pizza then we would have spent waiting at the melting pot. The staffs manners are non existent. Two other people got free meals for the wrong order being delivered while we waited. I can honestly say I will not be returning to this "Wonderful" place.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
